• As a Teacher/Tutor Partner, you will also be assigned a sub-domain at StartClass.com that will enable you to develop and use your own online teaching materials. Your students can enter your "teaching domain" by going to www.yourname.startclass.com. From there, they can enter your "private classroom" where you can interact with them live, via voice, text, and video.
  
  
• The "Open Class" content combined with teaching materials that you may design, create a learning environment where both student and teacher can excel. Then, when you combine the use of your online private classroom, something wonderful occurs. Now you can develop that critical ingredient to learning known as a "teacher/student" relationship. Through your online private classroom, you can encourage and motivate your students in real time, just as if you were standing in front of your class in a traditional classroom.

Moodle

• The word Moodle was originally an acronym for Modular Object-Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment, which is mostly useful to programmers and education theorists. 
  
  
• It's also a verb that describes the process of lazily meandering through something, doing things as it occurs to you to do them, an enjoyable tinkering that often leads to insight and creativity. As such it applies both to the way Moodle was developed, and to the way a student or teacher might approach studying or teaching an online course.

A subdomain allocates server space that can be accessed directly by attaching a prefix to the website URL. Your Teacher/Tutor site may be accessed by going to www.yourname.StartClass.com or through the menu links on the StartClass.com home page.


In this web space, each Teacher/Tutor can create and manage their pertinent content. There are 19 resources and activities built into the site that will help you deliver educational content. Through effective use of forums, lessons, quizzes, ebooks and other recourses and activities, teachers can tailor their lessons to their students needs.
